The UPcycle (used) Toy Drive was a fantastic success this year. We had great engagement with donations from our Wetaskiwin community and in addition to a great turnout from our congregation, we had some new volunteers from beyond our church family who came to help because they loved the idea of the project. On top of that we were able to facilitate Christmas Shopping for people from 35 different households!

This was our 4th year doing the toy drive and we grew in just about every area. It was so great to see our volunteers jump in to do what was needed. They cared so well for the shoppers by holding babies, encouraging them to get more, gift wrapping, packing up, delivery, kindness and conversations. We were able to display a lavish generosity with our people and products. I believe our engagement represents the Lord's lavish love very well.

Thank You for the part you played. Thank you for praying, prepping, donating, spreading the word, facilitating the shop, or cleaning up. I'm proud of our congregation and the consistent testimony we bear in our community that points to God's love. By doing our events regularly, people have more of a chance to hear about them, ask about them and attend.

Sometimes we preach Jesus by actions and sometimes by words.
